Old GSP Stadium Area Project Set for Autumn Completion
The old GSP stadium area in Nicosia is set for completion in autumn, featuring a vast pedestrian expanse near the historic walled city, a new archaeological museum, a revamped municipal theatre, a plaza with a water feature, around 550 parking spots, and a “green lung” with lush plantings for sustainable urban growth. The project, spearheaded by Nicosia mayor Constantinos Yiorkadjis, aims to create a vibrant public space that repositions the city as a cultural and recreational hub, emphasizing sustainable urban growth and environmental consciousness for years to come.
