A turkish Cypriot ski sensation

A young turkish Cypriot have become a ski sensation in Finland.

Yusuf Marcus Boransel, son of restaurant owner Savas Boransel, has been named one of the best Finnish ski jumper and was this year selected as the year’s most successful young athletes.

The 18-year old, in Finland known as Marcus Torni, recently came to the island to visit his father during school holidays. He told that ski jumping is a national sport in Finland.

Last month, he was ranked in 42nd place for the Finnish national team in the men’s World Cup.

Despite his busy schedule he goes and visit his father as often as he can. Mr. Boransel said he is extremely proud of his son.
