TRNC pilgrims head for Mecca

Around 60 pilgrims from the TRNC flew out to Saudi Arabia last Thursday to take part in the annual Islamic pilgrimage known as the Hajj.

A total of 142 people from North Cyprus will attend the pilgrimage to Mecca, which should be undertaken by Muslims at least once in their lifetime, provided they are physically and financially able to make the journey and can support their family while they are away.
