The Magic of Christmas

The pop up festival in south Nicosia will get much more festive on Saturday when The Magic of Christmas will be marching the streets and filling them with a whole lot of animated colour.

Although the Magic of Christmas is said to be everywhere, in Nicosia it will be a street show inspired by artistic director and choreographer Ricardo Cuellar and organised by RCBeautydolls, under the concept of a Christmas parade which aims to bring the spirit of Christmas to everyone in the capital.

Around 20 performers, all dressed up in flamboyant and very impressive costumes, will parade through the main streets of Nicosia in open cars, and end at the City Plaza where the party will really begin.

The parade will start from Pilates Bodyharmony on 28th October Street in Makedonitissa at 1.30pm, and will then drive along Griva Digheni Avenue, continue through Nikis Avenue and then on to Makarios Hospital where Ricardo Cuellar, together with Santa Claus, the Queen of Candyland, the reindeers and Christmas fairies will perform for the children in the hospital.

After the children are happy and full of the joy of Christmas, the parade will go through Nikis Avenue, Griva Digheni Avenue and Kritis Street to arrive at the Christmas Avenue in Makariou at 3pm and then finish at the City Plaza at 4.30pm, where the ensemble will offer an enchanting, interactive Christmas dance show.

The Magic of Christmas is a non-profit event, during which all participants work voluntarily to spread Christmas cheer.
