According to GC reports, two initiatives have been set in motion by the Technical Committee on the Environment.
The GC head of the Committee, Mihalis Loizides said that one of the initiatives was for environmental education in schools and the other on establishing professional and other groups on environmental issues. Loizides explained that the committee was in fact formed 5 years ago; however under its new composition now the issues they had talked on previously were now brought up to date.
Two initiatives in particular have been set in motion and the details of the implementation are now in discussion, he added.
One of the initiatives concerned ‘environmental education in schools over Cyprus’ whilst the other focused on getting various professionals together with the aim of giving groups to exchange practises.
