Tal has been teaching kitesurfing for 6 years.
For 3 months now, he has been responsible for the beach bar at Aphrodite Beachfront Village. “Beach bar is a meeting point for kite surfers from all over the island,” he says. He promises good drinks, good music and a great atmosphere.
New on the menu this year is smoothies, some new cocktail recipes and showing the World Cup on a large flat screen TV. The bar is open between. 12:00 to 24:00, but during the World Cup, it will be later, when all matches are shown. Tal has two employees, Dasa from the Czech Republic and Mehmet from the neighbouring village Gaziveren. “I love the sea and the bar is so close to the ocean as you can get so it suits me perfectly, I listen to music and have fun at work,” he says, smiling.
Tal is also a trained chef and was a kitchen manager at a restaurant in Israel before coming to Northern Cyprus. But he prefers working at the bar more. Here he can wear what clothes he wants and no hairnets required!
The best thing about North Cyprus is the people and the conditions for great kite surfing. Tal is also manager of Aphrodite Active, where he teaches kitesurfing. Aphrodite Active also offers paragliding, fishing trips, kayak, paddle boarding, off road Mountain biking, hiking and scuba diving.
