Super Moon

The North Cyprus night sky often brings surprises, either with shooting stars hurtling across the sky or just the brilliance of the stars shining (especially brilliant when there are power cuts).

The ‘super-moon’ hadn’t appeared for 20 years until recently when It appeared 14% bigger and 30% brighter than normal as it reached the point closest to the earth, called the perigee on 11th August 2014.
