Sükan exhibits her ‘mysterious portraits’

Work by Lefkoşa-born artist Feryal Sükan went on show December 12 at the launch of her 12th solo exhibition, at the capital’s Old Mosaic Restaurant and Café Bar in Selimiye Square.

Invitations featuring photographs of her mysterious portraits included a message from the artist: “Bragging human! Look at a plant with seeds. Don’t think this sultanate will last forever because you have no seed to scatter and no roots in the ground”.

The show, that was opened by the parliamentary Speaker Sibel Siber, may be visited every day from 10am until 8pm until Sunday, January 31.
