Ramadan Bayram begins tomorrow

The Ramadan Bayram period begins tomorrow.

The Bayram festivities will continue for three days. With the 20th of July Peace and Freedom Day, the public sector will get 4 days off; people will return to work on the 21st of July.

The last day of fasting is also today. Local councils and police are taking every measure to ensure services are not delayed.

In line with the Bayram period, a pilgrimage is being organised on Tuesday 21 July to the Hala Sultan Tekke in Larnaca. It is expected that around 1,000 people will be attending.

President Akinci and his wife Meral will be receiving the public on the first day of Bayram between 10-11am.
