The two beautiful dog siblings Fric and Frac were left behind in North Cyprus when their owner returned to the Dominican Republic. Ergün Güçlüer, who moved to Cyprus in 2009, has been looking for homes for them since September last year.
Fric and Frac were born because the owner had not neutered their mother, Krull. Fric and Frac are Rottweiler crosses born in January 2013. They have lived a very sheltered life as their owner kept them in a large garden but never walked them and so they were not familiar with humans or other animals.
After their owner left Fric and Frac moved to various houses and kennels to avoid them being left on the street. Ergün has been “fostering them” while looking for a home.
Finally just before Christmas he found the “ideal” forever owner. Yvonne and her partner who works for Galway SPCA. Yvonne specializes in adopting “problem” dogs in particular Rottweiler’s. She has the facilities and grounds to accommodate Fric and Frac at her home. Her references were checked and were deemed very suitable.
Now that he had finally found them a suitable home only thing left was to get Fric and Frac to Ireland. The process would require funding, planning, medical and legal requirements, political issues and red tape in abundance. Ergün therefore set up a PayPal account and a GoFundMe account for people to donate towards the costs required to re-home them in Galway, Ireland. The sum raised at this moment is £2120 and the goal is £2600 so not far off!
