End of summer after the first rains, which is usually in late October or early November, is the time when the olives are ready to be picked in Northern Cyprus. Eating olives from your own trees or using the olives to produce olive oil makes the taste all the more satisfying. Many olive trees are hundreds of years old, and they are a protected in Northern Cyprus.
