No lights at flag

Following a fault in the power lines leading to the painted flag on the Five Finger Mountain, the flag has not been lit for the past two evenings.

Greek Cypriot journalists believed that the flag was not lit up as a confidence building measure. The paper which contacted the association responsible for lightening up the flag discovered however that it was not so.

Tanju Muezzinoglu for the association responsible said that there had been a fault on the lines leading to the power for the flag which was why there had been no lights there for the past two nights. Muezzinoglu said the part had been replaced and the flag would be lit up once more.
