The annual Nicosia Beer Fest will once again open its doors this week, on Friday at the Constanza Moat.
Visitors will have the opportunity to taste more than 40 beers, both local and imported, in addition to a wide range of food and snacks.
“The Nicosia Beer Fest has become an institution in the cultural life of the capital, since each year it is embraced warmly by thousands of visitors,” mayor Constantinos Yiorkadjis said.
Organisers also boast the participation for the first time of a brewery from the Czech Republic, whose owners had visited the event in the past and asked to join this year.
The event will also host local artists including Lavrentis Macheritsas, Yiannis Kotsiras, Panos Mouzourakis, Penny Baltatzi, Kostis Maraveyas and the Gadjo Dillo band.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to win two airplane tickets offered by Germania Airline to any destination offered by the company.
The festival, co-organised by the Nicosia Municipality, the Nicosia Tourism Board, the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and CK Matrix Ltd, will take place from Friday to Wednesday from 7pm to 12pm.
Entrance is €6 with one free beer. Children under 12 go free. For more information visit www.facebook.com/NicosiaBeerFest, or call +357 96 700020.
