The first period after a real estate purchase, however, tends to be full of planning and decisions to be made. There is much to consider when it comes to the choice of furnishings, installations and other necessary details. Fun and inspiring, but it can also be stressful, especially considering that you are in a new country.

We met Şaziye Arslankelle whose father started the chain in 1980 and is now the CEO of the company. Şaziye is a trained interior designer and very committed to their customers’ needs and wishes.
“We work with over thirty international suppliers. Kale Group from Turkey is the largest, but we also have Spanish Porcelanosa Group in our catalog, for example,” she says. “We go to fairs abroad to update us on the latest trends, we also travel and meet suppliers in the respective countries and send our staff on regular training so they learn the products inside and out.”
Mepaş has its own interior designers to help customers with the whole package, from drawing up a 3D design to choosing materials. They have many different styles to choose from, ranging from classic to contemporary. Şaziye has noticed that the choice of design varies depending on where the customer comes from. Scandinavians have a love for the simple and unadorned as in Nordic design, while, for example, many Russians and Cypriots like gold and patterns.
Mepaş has a team that delivers products all over the island, and it also assists with the installation. The main shop is located in Kyrenia but it also has a store in Famagusta and a newly opened outlet on the road between Kyrenia and Famagusta, where customers can find bargains among last year’s styles. All store premises are large and bright with clearly divided sections to make it easy to find what you’re looking for. The staff speaks several languages and has a wide knowledge of the range.
