Long Beach Iskele is undoubtedly one of the most popular beaches in Cyprus. It stretches kilometre after kilometre along the coast, with white sand, sun loungers and beach bars. There is a palm-lined promenade and play areas for children also. If you want to stay a few days at Long Beach there is this cosy hotel named Long Beach Resort. We ourselves have not stayed there but if you look at the travel forum TripAdvisor the hotel has received good reviews and it is a cosy area, almost like a small holiday village, with white houses with blue doors. The restaurant has a large terrace that looks out to sea.
While we were standing there gazing out towards the horizon, admiring the views, one of the waiters came over and started chatting with us. He name is Adem and he smiles happily when he hears that we produce a magazine about North Cyprus. He says that he is very passionate about North Cyprus and tourist life here.
– I think that North Cyprus is a great place and a destination that everyone should have the chance to discover.
When Adem meets people who have never been to North Cyprus before it happens naturally that he takes on the role of tourist guide and drives around and shows them this part of the island.
– Just think of how much beauty we have to show here! All the beaches and historic sites like Salamis ruins and St. Barnabas Monastery. North Cyprus is truly a unique place.
