Kyrenia beaches clean according to EU Bathing Waters Directive

Kyrenia Municipality have said that the coasts and beaches within their boundaries are clean and of perfect quality as based on the EU Bathing Waters Directive.

The water samples which were taken and tested for E-coli and enterococcus have come clean. The samples were taken from Kervansaray Beach, Karakum Beach, and coasts from Missina Restaurant to Dome Hotel.

Mayor Of Kyrenia Nidai Gungordu said that the tests were carried out in accordance with EU standards and the results proved that they were much under the values. He added that keeping the environment clean was everyone’s job as much as the local council’s.
