KAR’s new 16-kennel block

Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) launched a campaign to raise £24,000 for a new 16-kennel block at their annual general meeting yesterday.

Re-elected KAR chairman Margaret Ray said the kennel block, which was erected in 1999, required a complete rebuild due to the “constant wear and tear” caused by “hundreds of dogs that have passed through the doors”.

“This is a major project for KAR but one that is desperately needed. A great deal of thought and planning has gone into it,” she said. Individuals or companies can choose to sponsor one or more of the kennels at a cost of £500 or £1,500. For more information visit: www.kartrnc.org or call 0533 869 4098.
