US Secretary of State John Kerry will arrive in Cyprus on Thursday and is set to meet with both  President Mustafa Akinci and President Anastasiades.

It is thought that Kerry is set to encourage the continued progress in the UN facilitated settlement talks between Akinci and Anastasiades.

It is believed the US Secretary of State will concentrate on the issue of guarantees with Cyprus high-ranking officials including President Anastasiades, Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides and House Chairman Yiannakis Omirou.

Kerry will arrive at the Presidential Palace in south Nicosia at 5pm on Thursday where he will be first greeted by Kasoulides before then meeting President Anastasiades. Kerry will address the media at 7pm.

Kerry will also be meeting with President Mustafa Akinci later on in the evening.

A dinner is then being organised by the Special Adviser of the UN Secretary General, Espen Barth Eide, in which John Kerry will attend along with Akinci and Anastasiades.
