Istanbul is top holiday destination for the coming holiday

Kurban Bayram will be observed from 24 September for 4 days until Sunday 27 September.

The Bayram prayers will be held on Thursday morning at 7.18am at the Hz. Ebubekir Mosque in Lefkosa.

Director of Religious Affairs, Talip Atalay released a Bayram message in which he said that the Muslim faith kept our understanding alive and help bind our unity and brotherhood together. He wished everyone a happy Bayram.

Messages from other organisations were also released to mark the holiday.

Separately a report in Kibris Postasi today notes that many TCs are going to Istanbul for the Bayram holiday. The report says several locals have elected to go on Europe tours for the duration of the holiday.

Whilst tour operators are mainly dealing with tours to Istanbul, Cappadocia and Antalya are amongst the other destinations. For the European tours, Italy, Amsterdam, Prague and Barcelona are amongst the places to be seen.

Tourism agents have said that this week most of their airline tickets sold however were for Istanbul and Adana.
