Foundation organises live music performances

Lefkosa Piano Festival is being organised by the Naci Talat Foundation between Monday, September 7 and Thursday, October 15.

The foundation said in a statement on Tuesday that the festival would begin with performances by cellist Nicolas Deletaille and pianist Atakan Sari followed by a concert called “two cellists and two pianists” on Friday, September 11.

Immediately after the Bayram holidays, on Monday, September 28, there is to be a piano recital by pianist Başar Can Kıvrak and on Monday, October 5, the Nemeth Quartet will give a concert. The members of the quartet are Şeniz Ay bulus, Mutlu Varlık Kocaili and Elena Nayman Ünaldi, who will be accompanied by pianist Başar Can Kivrak.

There will be a recital by pianist Özgür Unaldi on Tuesday, October 6 and one by Gözdem ilkay on Tuesday,October 13.

The festival will draw to a close on Thursday, October 15, with a performance by pianist Narden Sonel. Tickets will cost 30TL. Reservations can be made by calling Ahu Salahi on 0542 868 3666.

The foundation also announced that due to financial difficulties it would not be organising the Lefkoşa Walled City Jazz Festival this year but would have a concert by Maltese group Cushion on Saturday, October 24.
