Festival at Animal Hospital at Near East

According to Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Hospital organized a festival in order to raise awareness on love and devotion to animals, especially at early ages.

Mr. Ahmet Savaşan, Member of Executive Board of NEU Hospital, stated that it has already been acknowledged and claimed by many relevant authorities that the relations established with animals contribute to development of friendship feelings of children, and as a result of such relations, our children are becoming more tolerant, more sharing, more savvy, and more open to diversity. Savaşan also said that the Near East University aims to gain children love and devotion at early ages through such kind of activities organized by Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Hospital.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Osman Ergene, Chief Physician of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Hospital, said that throughout the activity, information was provided on how to deal with and behave to animals, what the responsibilities of having a pet are, what someone should do if they want to have a pet, and how to care and look after animals such as cats, dogs, birds, and fish.
