Far East Movement coming to Kyrenia!

The world famous group Far East Movement is for the first time coming to Kyrenia on Wednesday, 15th of July. The venue is Night Park, close to the old harbour, (see map below) and the party starts at 10pm till 4am.

Guest DJ’s will be Emrah Canpolay and Alp Yaprak. Tickets can be bought from Alpet (petrol station), Gloria Jeans, Jolly Joker and Mardó branches for 100 TL each.

Far East Movement is an American hip hop group based in Los Angeles. The group formed in 2003 and consists of Kev Nish (Kevin Nishimura), Prohgress (James Roh), J-Splif (Jae Choung), and DJ Virman (Virman Coquia). Their single “Like a G6” featuring singer Dev hit number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and on iTunes in late October 2010, making them the first Asian-American group to earn a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The 2012 remix song “Get Up (Rattle)” by the Bingo Players, on which they were featured, was also a worldwide hit.

Their song “Round Round” was featured in the 2006 film The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and its subsequent soundtrack, video game and DVD. Since “Round Round”, the group has been featured on various network shows including CSI: MiamiCSI: NYEntourageGossip Girl, and Finishing the Game (a featured film at Sundance 2007).
