Deadline for international art competition revealed

The deadline for submission of photographs, posters, paintings or drawings in an art competition organised to mark the importance of International Human Rights’ Day, has been extended until January 21.

The competition, organised by the American, Dutch and Norwegian embassies and the European Parliament and Commission, features categories for 12- to 18-year-olds and for the over-18s.

Two winners will receive a tablet or smart phone at a January 27 awards ceremony, from 7pm at South Nicosia’s Centre of Visual Arts and Research, where all submissions will also be exhibited.
