Cobbing strikes gold in tenpin bowling contest

Jan Cobbing was the winner of a women’s tenpin bowling competition which raised over 2,500 TL in aid of breast cancer awareness.

A total of 67 people took part in the tournament at Girne’s Kings Bowling and Leisure Centre, with Ann Workman claiming the runner-up prize.

The competitors later put aside their sporting rivalries for a group meal, a free live performance by singer Katie B and a raffle.

Sue Tilt and Carole King of the Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) gave a “huge thank you” to all those involved.
