Black comedy to be staged with subtitles

Subtitled performances of three plays by the Theatre of Cyprus are on offer in the capital and at the Limassol Rialto Theatre over the next three months. Alexander Galin’s black comedy Casting takes a look at the trafficking of women with a performance in the capital on Wednesday, April 6.

Groundbreaking Polish dramatist Tadeusz Slobodzianek’s shocking tale of the impact of the Nazi occupation on Polish and Jewish classmates, Our Class, plays on Friday, April 15 at the capital’s Theatre of Cyprus and in Limassol on Tuesday, April 12.

Performances of the Tennessee Williams play Sweet Bird of Youth are slated for Saturday, April 23 and Friday, May 6 in the capital and on Wednesday, May 18 in Limassol. All performances are scheduled for 8.30pm and tickets, for over-15s only, are priced at 12 euros.
