Belediye Pazari – genuine market in Nicosia

Belediye Pazari is an indoor market located in the middle of the old town of Nicosia. It is an interesting place to visit for those who want to experience some traditional Turkish market culture. There are a lot of little stalls and shops here offering everything from nuts and Turkish Delight to fresh fruit and beautiful fabrics.

If you are looking for souvenirs to take home from your holiday, this is a good place to explore. The market is open every day of the week except Sundays. Many of the visitors who come to the market are local or from Turkey, but obviously many curious tourists find themselves here too. Belediye Pazari was built in 1932 and renovated in 2010.
