Audience members at movie evenings to be given prizes

A classic film season with prizes is on the New Year agenda at Çatalköy’s Food Lodge European Artisan Bakery and Bistro, which offers four Thursday film shows in January.

Each will see a prize awarded to the audience member who brings the best prop directly associated with the movie.

Screenings are lined up for 6.30pm, starting on Thursday, January 7 with the 1940s classic The Philadelphia Story starring Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn and James Stewart.

The Oscar-winning 1983 story of a Pittsburgh dancer, Flashdance, screens on January 14, followed by the James Dean classic Rebel Without A Cause on January 21.

The January programme winds up with the film of Oscar Wilde’s comedy of manners, The Importance of Being Earnest, which was first performed at St James’ Theatre in 1895. Entry is priced at 12TL including a soft drink and popcorn and places may be reserved by phoning 0533 839 8764.
