Animal lovers to gather at KAR for World Animal Protection Day

Animal lovers will be welcome at the Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) centre in Arapköy tomorrow, Sunday October 4, to join the Cyprus Animal Rights Club for World Animal Protection Day, when they can help clean and walk animals and perhaps offer some of them a new home.

Pet food donations are requested and people are urged to bring their own collars and leads, shampoo and cleaning materials. The event will take place between 10am and 1pm and for more information call 0533 860 3878.

People are also asked to donate any good quality used household items, clothes, soft furnishings and furniture for sale in its charity. For more information call 0533 869 4098.

Meanwhile a KAR “alternative quiz” which was due to take place on Thursday has been cancelled. A new date has yet to be announced.
