18th Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival

Cyprus has its turn in the eighteenth Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival with four performances by four Cypriot choreographers who were selected from this year’s Contemporary Dance Platform, tomorrow at the Pallas Theatre in south Nicosia.

Within and between – by Julia Brendle in collaboration with Marios Konstantinou – is the first dance to be performed about interactive behaviour.

Next Fotis Nikolaou will present his dance Inland, which uses the body to talk about the journey within.

The dance Gate choreographed by Machi Dimitriadou Lindahl will tell the tale of passage from one state of consciousness to another.

The last dance performance will be Happiness by Milena Ugren Koulas, which revolves around Aristotle’s definition of the word as being the ultimate end and purpose of human existence.
